The high pressure processing machine is a non-thermal, cold pasteurization system for packaged foods. High Pressure Processing (HPP) technology involves placing sealed food products into a pressure vessel filled with water or another pressure-transmitting liquid, and subjecting them to pressures ranging from 100 to 700 MPa at ambient or low temperatures. This process reduces microbial loads, inactivates specific enzymes, and helps preserve the food’s natural quality.
Our HPP machine is suitable for a wide range of products, including meat products, fruit juices and beverages, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, seafood, baby food, ready-to-eat meals, and pet food. Contact Foodline for machine pricing for your food production needs.

Foodline High Pressure Processing Machine for Sale
The high pressure processing equipment uses water as the pressure-transmitting medium. Pressure is transmitted instantly and uniformly to every part of the food (regardless of its shape). this ensures there are no “dead zones” where sterilization might fail.
The process within the pressure chamber unfolds as follows:
- Microbial Inactivation: High pressure forces structural rearrangements in the cell membranes, proteins, and enzymes of microorganisms. Cell membranes rupture and enzymes lose their activity, rendering the microorganisms unable to reproduce.
- Preservation of Small-Molecule Components: Vitamins, pigments, and flavor compounds rely primarily on covalent bonds. High pressure does not break these chemical bonds, allowing the food to retain its fresh taste and nutritional value. This is why the technology is known as “cold pasteurization.”
- Slight Temperature Rise: For every 100 MPa increase in pressure, the temperature rises by approximately 3–5°C. Upon decompression, the temperature quickly returns to normal, preventing heat-induced damage.
The high pressure processing machine is designed for packaged solid or liquid foods; it cannot process bulk products or dry powders. Typical process flows include:
Fruit Juice → Filling → Sealed Packaging → HPP Treatment
Cooked Meat → Packaging → Sealing → HPP Treatment
Seafood → Packaging → Sealing → HPP Treatment

Key Advantages of High-Pressure Processing Technology
- High pressure is applied uniformly to the food and penetrates all parts of the packaging. The shape of the food and the packaging have a negligible effect on the pressure treatment.
- HPP primarily acts on non-covalent bonds rather than covalent bonds. This helps preserve the food’s nutritional content, natural color, flavor, and quality.
- After HPP treatment, the food is ready to eat with virtually no additional cooking required. The process is simple and helps ensure food safety and hygiene.
- High pressure alters the macromolecular structure of food. This not only improves the food’s texture, color, and shelf life but also enables the development of new food products.
- HPP technology uses physical pressure instead of high-temperature processing. It reduces energy consumption, generates minimal processing contamination, and supports the recycling of water within the system.
- HPP technology helps extend the shelf life of packaged foods. Compared to the use of chemical preservatives, it provides a physical processing method for food preservation.
